A super quick 3 minute salmon pate recipe that will surely delight your guests and as a special treat for you too!  Just a handful of ingredients mixed into a bowl and you are done!  Too easy:)  Serve this gem on toasted baguettes or pumpernickel toast points.  This is great on a Scandinavian Snitter too!


6 oz of canned Salmon
3 Tbs salted butter, softened or 3-4 Tbs nonfat plain yogurt
1 Tbs fresh dill or 1/2 Tbs dried dill
2 Tbs fresh lemon juice
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
salt & pepper to taste


  1. Blend all ingredients with a fork in a small bowl until well incorporated.
  2. May use more butter if necessary.
  3. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
  4. Serve on toasted baguette or on some greens or in a Scandinavian Snitter.


You can jazz this up a notch by adding shallots, scallions, smoked paprika etc. This is a very flexible recipe as well as can be scaled up easily for more servings.
